The Cheapest Way to Send Flowers

When asked the question, "what is the cheapest way to send flowers?" Someone jokingly replied: "Pick the flowers yourself from your garden or someone else's garden, and deliver it yourself to the intended recipient". While this was clearly an off-the-cuff response, it is actually true. If you want the cheapest way to send flowers that is the path to take: don't buy the flowers, get the flowers free, and deliver them yourself. It is indeed a very tidy and cheap solution. It actually costs you nothing in terms of dollars, except for an hour or so of your time. If only things were that simple, then we would probably have no need of florists, and flower delivery services. As it were, the simplistic situation described above can only occur in a situation in which you can get a quality flower from your garden or your neighbor's garden, and that the recipient of your gift lives in the same city/town that you reside and you can easily reach her. For most of us this situation does not exist. The typical person does not have access to a garden, and will probably not go into his neighbor's garden to pick a flower. Even if he was able to do either of the above, his time is probably more precious to him than to drive across town or fly to the next city to deliver a bunch of flowers to his aunt who is celebrating her 60th birthday.

That is why we have florists and flower delivery services to help us out of the situation in which we don't know much about flowers, but we want to make a great impression on our intended recipient, and we don't have the time or opportunity to deliver the flowers ourselves. There are a huge number of florists and flower delivery services in our neighborhood and cities. A search in the yellow pages or the search engines could help in finding florists and flower delivery companies. However, when you are looking for the cheapest way to send flowers, you will probably need to put in some extra effort and do more research. Yes, it is possible to find a cheap, or even the cheapest way to send flowers by scouring through all the information you can find about florists and flower delivery services, both online and offline. In looking for a cheap service, however, don't forget to look for quality service at the same time. Don't take it for granted that the fact that the service is cheap translates to a poor level of service. Because of the economies of scale, companies have been able to leverage their operations to deliver a high level of service at a reasonable price, and due to the number of transactions they close, they are still able to make it a profit. A case in point is McDonald's. So, in your search for the cheapest way to send flowers, look for the equivalent of McDonald's among the florists and the flower delivery service providers
